Newsletter and Class Schedule 4/27 - 5/3

Dear Friends:

We are at the end of Parkinson's Awareness Month. The goal each year is to fuel more understanding about Parkinson’s by encouraging early detection, raising recognition about the symptoms and finding support for managing them, and highlighting the need for continued research.

During the final week of Parkinson’s Awareness Month, we invite you to join us for another open house session held during our regularly scheduled classes.

Wednesday, April 29th at 11am: Strength with Kim  Exercise designed to help to slow functional decline, improve safety, and enhance quality of life Marblehead Council on Aging

Have a great week, come join us and try a different, additional class during April…you’ll be welcomed wherever you go!

Linda

Instructor Spotlight —Strength Instructor Kim Crowley

“We have a great venue for our Parkinson’s Fitness classes and good equipment available to us. But the most important factor is our instructor, Kim Crowley. She is always prepared with new changes to her routines and new music that fits the workout. She continually looks from person to person to make sure they are doing the exercises properly and aren’t having any problems. To me, that demonstrates her great caring and compassion and her high degree of professionalism.” —class participant

This Wednesday, April 29th, come join instructor Kim Crowley and experience her 11:00 AM Strength with Kim class at the Marblehead COA, 10 Humphrey Street.

Incorporating strength training into a PD management plan can be a safe and effective way to counteract the decline in muscle strength, improve postural control, contribute cognitively to brain function, and improve medication use.

Kim is highly respected for her years of dedication to improving the lives of others. Her classes become a family environment. Kim also keeps everyone informed in her added role as creator of our weekly email newsletter! Make it your mission to visit her class; it could become another way to inspire your life!

Without Kim, it is hard to imagine not exercising as faithfully as I do… My symptoms started to affect my daily activities. Figuring out my medicine and Kim’s class has been a game changer! By doing her classes twice a week, I have switched from going to PT twice a week to only one.” —class participant

  1. I was living a peaceful life with my family when I started noticing muscle stiffness and twitching. After seeing a neurologist, I was diagnosed with ALS. The news was overwhelming, and as the disease progressed, I lost the ability to walk and became dependent on a wheelchair.
A friend recommended the ALS/MND protocol at DR AZIEGBE HERBS CURE. Skeptical but hopeful, I gave it a try. After three months, I noticed significant improvements—less stiffness, fewer twitches, and I could even walk short distances again, to reach out to him contact: DRAZIEGBE1SPELLHOME@GMAIL.COM
It was a life-changing experience that brought back hope I thought I'd lost. This journey reminded me that healing can sometimes come from the most unexpected places.
